This is another custom MAB small drop point hunter. Made from 200 plus fold random wave pattern damascus steel blade. The knife blade is marked with my MAB logo as the maker of this fine knife. This knife was made from a bar stock damascus billet. The knife billets are shaped, ground, polished, oil quenched hardened and tempered to rockwell 57 to 58, then acid etched to help bring out the damascus pattern, then gun blued and given one final polish all by me, Mark Buzzell (MAB), right here in Maine. This hunting knife is 6-1/4 inches overall with a 2-7/8 inch blade 1/8 thick, 7/8 inch wide with a 58 rockwell hardness. The handle is made from some great looking stabilized exhibition grade zebra wood I also used three custom copper pins in the handle and two more brass pins in the brass giards to finish off this great little hunter. The handle on this one fits just great in your hand as well. The knife is a full tang construction so it will hold up when you're using it in the field. The knife has been hand sanded to 2,000 grit for a mirror shine on the handle. I also hand filed the top of the knife blade with my new “repeat” pattern and the handle with my new “ripple wave” pattern. All my file work is done by hand with a chainsaw file and a small triangle file, not with a dremel like some builders call file worked, so you can see I put a lot of time just into the file work along with the fit and finish on all my knives to make them a very collectible piece, or a good working knife. Your knife will come with the custom leather sheath made by Carl Thomas to fit your knife nice and snug. Your knife will also ship with a zip up knife case for storing your custom knife when it's not in use. All my custom knives come with a hand signed COA telling more about the knife, when it was made time spent and so on.
