This is a rain drop pattern damascus spear point blade hunting knife, This one is 9″ inches over all with a 4-1/2″ inch blade measured to the guard, Making a 3-3/4″ inch cutting edge, And 1-1/8″ inch wide, And 3/16″ thick. This knife was made from a bar stock 400 plus fold rain drop pattern damascus billet. The knife billet was shaped, ground, polished, oil quenced hardened and tempered to rockwell 57 to 58, then acid etched to help bring out the damascus pattern, then gun blued and given one final polish. the aged india stag shape makes for a great fit in your hand, I used two pieces of recon green web malachite stone and some rare lions blood amboyna wood to finish off the handle. solid nickle silver tear drop guard with brass spacers and brass pommel, Knife is a rat tang construction with a corby nut in the end so it will hold up to some hard use in the field. I also hand filed this one my myn “s” pattern on the top of the blade, All my file work is done by hand with a round file and a half round file. NO dremel tool here… Blade is stamped with my MAB logo as the maker of this great knife. Your knife will come with the custom leather sheath made by tree stump leather right here in maine.
