This is another custom MAB clip point hunting knife made from carbon tool steel billet by me, Mark Buzzell (MAB), right here in Maine. This clip point hunter is 8-5/8 inches overall with a 4-3/8 inch tool steel blade 1/8 thick, 3/4 inch wide with a 56 to 58 rockwell hardness. The handle is made from some great looking stabilized giraffe bone, the front spacer is burnt cape buffalo bone and the pommel cap has a piece of 30,000 to 50,000 year old mammoth tooth as well, all making for a very nice blend in colors. The brass spacers finish off the handle on this great little hunter. The handle also fits just right in your hand as well. The knife is a rat tang construction with a corby nut in the end so it will hold up when you're using it in the field. The knife has been hand sanded to 2,000 grit for a mirror shine on the blade and a glass look on the handle. I also hand filed the top of the knife blade with my “vine” pattern. All my file work is done by hand with a chainsaw file and a small triangle file. (not with a dremel like some builders call file worked), I put a lot of time into every one of my knives from fitting and finish to the file work, so every knife can be a collectors piece or a working knife, this is your chance to own a real quality handmade knife. The knife will come with the custom leather sheath made by Carl Thomas to fit your knife nice and snug. The knife will also ship with a zip up knife case for storing your custom knife when it's not in use. All my custom knives come with a hand signed COA telling more about the knife, when it was made time spent and so on.
