This custom MAB beaver tail skinner is made from a 440 stainless steel billet, Knife is 7-7/8″ inches overall with a 3-3/4″ inch blade 1″ inch wide and 1/8″ inch thick, Knife handles are made from some exhibition grade stabilized Natural color flame box elder burl wood, I used two custom pins in the handle to add the extra touch. I handle filed the top of the handle in my “vine Thorn” Pattern, All my file work is done by hand with a round file and a half round file not with a dremel tool like some knife builders use and call file work. Knife was hand sanded from 220 grit to 2,000 grit then put on the buffer wheel for a final shine. Knife comes with the custom leather sheath made by Carl Thomas of Mississippi.
