This is a custom MAB Damascus hunter made by me, Mark Buzzell (MAB), right here in Maine. This knife has a feathers damascus blade that is a 200 plus fold “feather” pattern damascus blade, knife is 7-3/4 inches overall with a 3-3/4 inch blade, 3-5/8 inch cutting edge, 1 inch wide and 1/8 thick. The knife blade is marked with my MAB logo as the maker of this fine knife. This knife was made from a bar stock damascus billet. The knife billets are shaped, ground, polished, oil quenched hardened and tempered to rockwell 57 to 58, then acid etched to help bring out the damascus pattern. Then gun blued and given one final polish. This one has a very nice contrast in the damascus making it a real eye catcher. The handle on this one is made from some great looking stabilized mammoth ivory, The ivory will date from 30,000 to 50,000 thousad years old and was found in the permafrost area of siberia russia, Knife is a full tang construction so it will hold up in the field if you decide to give it some use. I also hand filed the top of the blade in my “Walking lizard” pattern, And the handle in my “double wave” pattern and the bottom of the handle in my “vine” pattern all my file work is done by hand with a chainsaw file and a small triangle file, not with a dremel tool like some knife builders like to call extensive file work!!!! Give me a break…I put a lot of time into every one of my knives from fitting and finish to the file work, so every knife can be a collectors piece or a working knife. This one will fit great in your hand, this is your chance to own a real quality handmade knife. I used two pieces of mammoth ivory to make the lanyard beads for the final touch. The knife will ship with custom fit leather sheath made by Carl Thomas. The knife will also ship in a zip up knife case. All my custom made knives come with a hand signed COA and a DVD telling more about the knife, when it was taken off the bench, time spent building and more. USA buyers $6.00 shipping with insurance.
