This is a rain drop pattern Damascus spear point blade hunting knife, This one is 8-5/8″ inches over all with a 4-3/4″ inch blade measured to the guard, Making a 3-3/4″ inch cutting edge, And 1-1/8″ inch wide, And 3/16″ thick. This knife was made from a bar stock 400 plus fold rain drop pattern Damascus billet. The knife billet was shaped, ground, polished, oil quenched hardened and tempered to Rockwell 57 to 58, then acid etched to help bring out the Damascus pattern, then gun blued and given one final polish. The Flame Box Elder Burl Used Is “”Natural”” Color and stabilized to protect it during any use, This color is pretty rare to find and makes for a killer look, the solid brass double guards with brass spacers and brass pommel with file worked Aluminum spacer are all made from flat bar and sheet stock and shaped by hand to the knife, This Knife is a rat tang construction with a Corby nut in the end so it will hold up to some hard use in the field. I also hand filed this one in my “Double Wave” pattern on the top of the blade, and the handle spacer in my “thorn” pattern All my file work is done by hand with a round file and a half round file. NO dremel tool here… Blade is stamped with my MAB logo as the maker of this great knife. Your knife will come with the custom leather sheath made by tree Carl Thomas of Mississippi.
