This is another custom MAB Damascus drop point hunter made by me Mark Buzzell right here in Carmel Maine. This hunter is 8-1/4″ inch overall with a 3-3/4″ inch blade and a 3-1/2″ inch cutting edge, 1″ inch wide and 1/8″ inch thick. The Damascus used is a 200 plus fold Tiger Stripe pattern, Knife is stamped with my MAB logo as the maker of this fine knife. Knife was made from bar stock damascus billet, The billet was shaped, Ground, Polished, Oil quenched hardened and tempered to a Rockwell of 58, Then acid dipped to help bring out the Damascus pattern, Then gun blued to show off that pattern. Knife is a full tang construction so it will hold up in the field if you decide to give it some use. The handle on this one is made from some rare stabilized African Water Buck horn, With custom pins in the guard and handle, All the brass spacers and guard are madee from flat brass and bar stock and shaped to the knife. The handle on this one fits great in your hand. Knife was hand sanded form 220 grit to 1,200 grit for a glass look on the handle. I also hand filed the knife blade in my “Walkiing Lizard” pattern and the handle in my “Double Wave” pattern. All my file work is done by hand with a round file and a half round file, Not with a dremel like some knife builders do and call file worked. so as you can see I put a lot of time into every one of my knives from fit and finish, To file work, So each knife can be used in the field or saved as a collectors piece for years to come. Your knife’s custom sheath was made by Carl Thomas of mississippi.
