This custom MAB beaver tail skinner is made from carbon steel (Old nicholson file) Knife is 7-3/4″ inches overall with a 3-7/8″ inch blade 1″ inch wide and 1/8″ inch thick, Knife handles are made from some exhibition grade honduran rosewood burl wood with some unreal burls and swirls, I used three custom pins in the handle to add the extra touch. I handle filed the top of the handle in my “vine Thorn” Pattern, All my file work is done by hand with a round file and a half round file not with a dremil tool like some knife builders use and call file work. Knife was hand sanded from 220 grit to 2,000 grit then put on the buffer wheel for a final shine. Knife comes with the custom leather sheath made by Carl Thomas of Mississippi.
