This is another custom MAB clip point hunting knife made from a high carbon steel billet by me, Mark Buzzell (MAB), right here in Maine. This clip point hunter is 8-3/8 inches overall with a 4-3/8 inch blade 1/8 thick, 3/4 inch wide with a 57 to 58 rockwell hardness. The blade has been hand sanded to 2000 grit and then polished to a mirror finish. The handle is made from some very nice aged India stag with a nickel silver pommel, I used a piece of real recon 30 million plus year old Baltic amber in the middle. You can still see some bugs and pieces of bark with other things that got caught in the amber so many years ago. I also use some recon red jasper stone in the front to show off the stag. The handle on this one fits perfect in your hand, the shape makes it a great fit. The knife is a sub tang construction with a corby nut in the end, so it will hold up when you're using it in the field. I also hand filed the top of the knife blade with my “s” pattern. All my file work is done by hand with a chainsaw file and a small triangle file, not with a dremel like some builders call file worked. The knife is stamped with my MAB logo as the maker of this fine knife. Your knife will come with the custom black leather sheath made to fit your knife nice and snug, and will also ship with a zip up knife case for storing your custom knife when it's not in use. All my custom knives come with a hand signed COA telling more about the knife, when it was made time spent and so on.
