This is another custom MAB drop point hunting knife made from 440C steel billet by me, Mark Buzzell (MAB), I annealed, Ground and heat treated this on right here in the shop. This hunter is 8-1/2 inches overall with a 4 inch carbon steel blade with a 3-5/8 inch cutting edge, Just over a rugged 3/16 thick, and 1-1/16 inch wide with a 58 Rockwell hardness. The handle is made from some great looking stabilized and dyed Amboyna wood burl. The Amboyna Wood makes for not only a super rugged handle but with killer looks from all the burls and swirls. The handle on this one fits perfect in your hand as well. The knife is a full tapered tang construction with three custom pins in the handle and one custom copper in in the guard. This one’s built nice and rugged so it will hold up when you’re using it in the field. The knife has been hand sanded to 2,000 grit for a mirror shine on the blade and a glass look on the handle, I also hand filed the top of the knife blade with the “Thorn” pattern, And the handle in my “Thick Vine pattern. All my file work is done by hand with a chainsaw file and a small triangle file. (Not with a dremel like some builders call file worked) your custom knife will come with the custom leather sheath made by Carl Thomas to fit your knife nice and snug. The knife will also ship with a zip up custom knife case for storing your custom knife when it’s not in use. All my custom knives come with a hand signed COA and DVD telling more about the knife, when it was made time spent and so on.
